- We won combat!!
- the false emperor has disappeared and we see a path deeper into the city open up
- Altaeum creates a statue of the guy
- The Colosseum has two exits, one back out and one deeper into the city
- We decide to push forward to chase the “emperor”
- We find a small room with a rusted metal gate (breakable)
- There is a staircase down into a smaller room with cells and an armory
- Armory has a framed weapon that is some kind of gladiator gear (some kind of trident and a bladed net)
- The Cells have words inscribed on a brick
- “I am where the light touches” (written in Elvish)
- Might be derivative of “I am wherever the light is” (one of the few divine traditions left from the empire)
- We find a book where the light touches, below some stones we find a Cell Book with words
- We take the brick
- Its a cool relic, make sure not to tell anyone it was probably written by Saint Abritias
- We remove it from the wall
- We can’t find Barnabus
- We take a long rest in the basement
- Altaeum makes an offensive presentation about the Land of Sin and Cobble
- Soren and Jørgen are horrified by what Altaeum presents (hes a bad presenter)
- Strange grainy world filled with internal darkness and shadow
- Altaeum shows an armored figure
- Jørgen has a really bad flashback to summer with the armored figure(?)
- i didnt listen when Gordon was describing it
- The gate is open now (after we took a long rest)
- We step through the iron gate
- its very bright on the other side as we walk into in intact city
- Built like a nice neighborhood, it seems to be a bit built like a fortress
- Its very hot, very dry and very dusty
- Right in front of us is a series of statues all holding yellow gems
- The one closest to us has fallen over and the gem stone has fallen into the path in front of us
- Gilbertus takes a look at the gem and gets his hand carbonized by a guiding bolt
- We enter combat against Arbalesteers (spirits of light)
- We hear a void “Intruders, flee my glorious city or face my retribution” (the same voice as the the false emperor)
- When enemies die, they seem to get torn way from the mortal realm
- Their items and clothes also drop and visibly age
- Moving past a pair of statues casts a wall of light
- Kaelen starts having visions of being wreathed in light
- The light seems to come from a different entity than the Lightbringer???
- We ask the false emperor about the red sun
- He seems to know what The Red Sun is
- It makes him think we are servants of some “Him”
- The “him” is a tricky man, the trickier of the two
- Called us “Servants of Roses and Red Suns”
- “The dusk you seek shall not come because it will be an eternal dawn of the glorious empire”
- Doesn’t like the Moss Mother? Real mother was pure, un-corrupted, radiance
- Missing memories? There is some kind of predecessor who was filled with doubt.
- Jørgen is claimed by another so the false emperor cannot control him
- Jørgen sends his summoned wolves further up the path
- There are stairs
- Up the stairs, there is another trap between the statues
- The stairs go flat and the wolves go tumbling down
- We step back into The Colosseum to take a short rest
