- We’ve finally reached The Lab
- When we enter they clean us
- We make it to the front of the Line
- Receptionist is an Elf (theyre rare)
- We seperate out the Lion Mane and the Sheep Wool (we want to make magic items from it)
- We sell the rest of the shit
- The parts are worth 900GP
- The administrator wants to meet with us to determine the price of the ash drake and the two sheep
- We go to meet with the administrator
- All the staff in the building is an Elf
- We meet with the administrator, Oryndrus
- Is an Elf with very pale skin wearing a mask
- They wont buy the sheep bc they dont really grow back magical wool
- He really wants to buy the ash drake
- He wants to learn about us and talk to us one on one??
- Nes proselytize to the administrator (we cockblock him)
- We begin lying to Oryndrus that we’re from The Harvestward
- As far as Oryndrus knows, Elves only exist inside this laboratory.
- He wants to buy the Ash Drake for 100GP, we bargain up to 160
- Total 1065 GP
- The Lab researches how to bring out the magical properties more efficiently, how they can be combined, etc. This is reported to The Cognitia. The Cognitia informs The Foundry and The Crucible on how to make stuff
- Oryndrus is curious about Cairn, he lies about everything:
- He’s not awakened
- He’s from The Harvestward
- His name is
Caim
- Oryndrus is freaky and wants us for himself
- We wake up in prison cells, isolated from other people. Can’t cast magic past the walls.
- Eli has a vision while in the cell (coming from his ring)
- There is some kind of light Elf woman who pushes through the barrier and now we can see the rest of the party
- This pushes us into Oryndrus’s Mindscape
- Probably Eli’s Mother???
- The fog outside faded, everything looks less dillapidated (everything is overgrown with vegetation)
- The place is very dillapidated
- We manage to break out of the cell
- Theres a bubble in the middle of the room, we hear an unfamiliar female voice (Eli’s Mother) say some stuff
Prison Note 1
The Lord granted permission for me to recreate the look and behavior of living creatures in the Mindscape. He seems to be interested in the results. There are no significant problems statically, but modeling the way natural creatures move purely from inference and imagination is difficult. I feel like deer shouldn’t walk this way… Well, unless I leave one day, this’ll have to do.
Link to original - The animals around the cell seem to be stunned and they ragdoll when we prod them
- Animals:
- There’s a pond; In the pond there are 4 ducklings and a turtle
- There are also 2 deers, 2 squirrels, 3 butterflies, 3 wolves
- The door has 4 symbols:
- Turtle shell, 4 sticks pointing down, wing, butterfly
1773
- Animals:
- Theres a vent at the top attached to the ceiling, theres a door; we’re on the second floor of the prison
- Eli Winters turns into a spider and climbs up to the vent and bashes the grate
- We climb up the vent and explore
- We find another prison block with animals, we find another bubble with a note
