The village is incredibly isolated. Beyond the dense forests you can see sheer cliffs peeking over the trees, rendering outside interaction essentially impossible.
Village is centuries old
Nobody is sure how old but there is history dating back to 600-700 years ago
The village is self sufficient
Trade + barter but no caste system or anything of the sort
The Festival
Annual festival where everyone has the opportunity to celebrate and honor their great deities
Culminates in a ceremony where three chosen villagers ascend at an altar to join these higher beings
Held according to the will of the Almighty Ones
Treats the festival as heralding in the next year of spring
There is a village shaman who claims to commune with the Almighty Ones
The shaman informs the chosen and leads the ascension ceremony.
